CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functionality of the nervous system called the CranioSacral system – comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch, the practitioners release restrictions in the connective tissue around the brain and spinal cord, to improve the central nervous system.
Pediatric CranioSacral Therapy should ideally begin with treatment immediately after birth if possible, or shortly thereafter. The protocol for infants under one year is specialized for their stage of physical and physiological development and needs, and includes aspects which are corrective and preventive.
SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of past physical/emotional injuries and trauma.
By complementing the body’s natural healing processes, CranioSacral, Pediatric and SomatoEmotional Therapies are increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical conditions.
