Course Description

The class is designed to review the ethical concerns while working with breast tissue. The class will review the history of massage. It will explore all areas of touch: the definition of touch, the various meaning of different touch, the significance of touch and the many types of touch. The class will explore the differences of touch from various countries and the need for certain considerations. It will distinguish the difference between intention and goals with your touch. The class will review the Rules and Regulations for the State of North Carolina, the Code of Ethics from NCBTMB and the Policies of the Association of Massage Therapist (AMT). The class will encourage the students to discuss and role-play ethical issues that they may face in their daily practice when introducing breast massage to their clients and working with breast tissue.
